Veterinary story

Ours is a story of three generations of veterinarians. The tradition was founded by Rafael Mendieta Peñalosa, who graduated from Zaragoza in 1943 and passed on to his son Rafael Mendieta i Fiter, who graduated from the same university in 1978. He set up the clinic in Palamós in 1980, with his wife Anna M. Vancells i Noguer, exclusively focusing on pet medicine and surgery in all specialities. Nowadays the story continues with Anna Mendieta i Vancells, who graduated in Veterinary medicine from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2006. Anna Mendieta was awarded a CIRIT prize in 2001 and she has participated in national and international exchanges with other centres.

The Veterinary Clinic Mendieta is approved as a veterinary hospital by the Association of Veterinarians of Girona. It is currently staffed by six vets and two assistants, and it has a teaching agreement with the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the UAB and other schools and colleges that request it..
